Deployed to Afghanistan as an Army expert (HQE), supporting COMISAF and Commander CJIATF- 435 on matters relating to biometrics, detention policy and operations, Afghan prison reform, and rule of law. Worked directly with senior ministers of the Afghan government, NATO officials and top US military leadership. Also taught 2 undergrad economics courses for junior enlisted soldiers through University of Maryland's University College program.
Launched and led TriNet's Human Capital practice; established the product development function and released more than a dozen new products over eight quarters. Helped grow the company from $20M revenue to over $100M revenue and industry leadership.
During academic year 2004 - 2005, launched the Institute's long-term planning process, negotiated a 3-year agreement to host the Indianapolis Colts training camp and established the Colts Scholarship program, won new financial support from Lilly Endowment and other investors for core programs, restructured the top-management team and an underperforming business incubator. Reduced the operating deficit while raising employee pay, hired new faculty, increased the Dean's capital budget, extended health benefits to domestic partners and delivered more financial aid than in any previous year.
Led global strategy and performance improvement assignments for multinational corporate clients including Holcim (Switzerland), Daimler-Chrysler (Germany and Detroit) and others. Redesigned the US firm's governance model to comply with US laws and standards.
Launched and led the Knowledge Services business for this publicly-traded internet B2B pioneer. Conceived and developed core software and service products including MarketWise and an early virtual machineware-based e-marketplace simulator.
